About Etihad Live
Etihad Live is an outdoor amphitheatre on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, owned by Ethara and the largest outdoor venue in the region. It opened in 2009 as du Arena, and Beyoncé performed there on 29 October that year. A naming deal with Etihad Airways and Flash Entertainment turned it into Etihad Park in 2021, and in June 2026 Ethara gave it its current name, Etihad Live, ahead of a redevelopment planned for 2027.
Over the years the venue has staged Madonna, Coldplay, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, The Rolling Stones, Rihanna, Eminem, Lana Del Rey, Katy Perry, Usher and Blackpink, along with festivals such as Creamfields, Ultra Music Festival and KCON. In 2023 it hosted the first Wireless Festival held in the Middle East. Every year it is also the home of the after-race concerts of the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
In 2026 Jennifer Lopez plays Etihad Live on Friday 4 December, as part of that race-week programme. Entry to the after-race concerts is reserved for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders, so plan the evening together with a race ticket.
Location and Setting
The venue is on Yas Leisure Drive, on Yas Island, east of central Abu Dhabi. It is part of the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi complex, and Yas Marina Circuit, where the 2026 Grand Prix race week runs from 3 to 6 December, is on the same island.
Etihad Live has no roof, so check the forecast for the evening before you leave. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World and Yas Mall are on the same island as the venue.
Getting There
Yas Island is about 25 minutes by car from Abu Dhabi, and a taxi from Zayed International Airport takes about 10 to 15 minutes. The island's own travel guide puts it at about 75 minutes from Dubai airport.
Ways to arrive:
- Taxi and ride-hailing — public taxis, Uber and Careem all work on Yas Island; on a race-week night, book the car for the way back before the last song
- Yas Express — complimentary shuttles that link the island's hotels, theme parks and leisure spots; routes and times are in the timetable on the Yas Island website
- Public transport — the island also lists public buses, the ART tram, robotaxis and Etihad Rail among the ways to get around the island
Race week brings heavy traffic to the island. The Grand Prix organiser sets traffic and parking arrangements for each ticket, so read that guidance for your ticket before you set out and leave earlier than you would on an ordinary evening.
Venue Facilities
The site offers more than 22,000 square metres of flexible event space and platforms for people of determination. The 2027 redevelopment is set to upgrade its infrastructure, hospitality and the way crowds move through the site.
Allow at least 60 minutes before the start to clear security, and keep your mobile ticket ready on your phone with the screen brightness turned up.
Visiting Abu Dhabi
Early December is among the mildest times of year in Abu Dhabi. Daytime highs average about 26 °C and evenings cool to the mid or high teens, which suits an open-air concert; a light layer for the later part of the night is enough for most people.
On the days around the concert, the free Yas Express route links Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Mall, Yas Waterworld and Warner Bros. World with the island's hotels, and another Yas Express route runs to Yas Marina Circuit. Yas Express buses run every day of the week.
